Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim 1 The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists) in which there is not doubt! 2 and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, "[Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He regulates all affairs from high to low, then they rise to perfection step by step in a (heavenly) day whose measure is a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 This is the All Knowing – of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 6 who gave everything its perfect form. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord." 11
