Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
