۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
