Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
