The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 then he mustered 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
