The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow in virtue? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
