Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 again, you shall most certainly end up seeing it with absolute certainty. 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8
