The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans boil over with a swell; 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
