The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
