The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky has split [open] 1 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 and casts out what is within it and is emptied, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O man! verily thou art toiling toward thy Lord a painful toiling, and art about to meet Him. 6 Then, as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand, 7 shall be called to an easy accounting, 8 And he shall go back to his people joyful. 9 But whoso is given his account behind his back, 10 shall cry for “perdition,” 11 And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning. 12 He used to be happy with his own people; 13 Surely he thought that he would never return. 14 Yea indeed! His Sustainer did see all that was in him! 15 Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, 16 And the night and that which it drives on, 17 And by the moon when she is at the full, 18 you shall proceed onwards from stage to stage. 19 What, then, is amiss with them that they will not believe [in a life to come]? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them that they do not prostrate! ۩ 21 Nay, but they who are bent on denying the truth give the lie [to this divine writ]! 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
