The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 They sat by it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
