The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
