Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17

God the Almighty always says the truth.
