The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 it is not a jest. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
