Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
