The Fig (Al-Teen)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Galaxies (Al-Burooj) before Quraish (Quraish)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the Fig and the Olive, 1 by Mount Sinai 2 and by this inviolable city, Mecca. 3 Assuredly We have created man in goodliest mould, 4 Then We reduced him to the lowest of the low, 5 excepting only such as attain to faith and do good works: and theirs shall be a reward unending! 6 What, then, [O man,] could henceforth cause thee to give the lie to this moral law? 7 Is not Allah the wisest of judges? 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
