Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
