Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
