The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Does he not know,- when that which is in the graves is scattered abroad 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
