The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 [It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 What shall let you know what the Plunging is? 10 It is a blazing fire. 11
