Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
