O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are the deaf and the dumb,- those who understand not. 22 Had Allah known of any good in them, He would indeed have made them listen, and even if He had made them listen, they would but have turned away, averse (to the truth). 23 Believers, respond to Allah and the Messenger when he calls you to that which revives you. Know that Allah is between the person and his heart, and that toHim you shall all be gathered. 24 And beware of an affliction that will not smite exclusively those among you who have done wrong. Know that God is severe in exacting retribution. 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 O ye that believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you. 27 And know that your riches and your children are but a temptation, and that verily Allah: with Him is a mighty hire. 28
