And [thereafter,] indeed, We assigned unto the children of Israel a most goodly abode, and provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life. And it was not until knowledge [of God's revelation] was vouchsafed to them that they began to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all on which they were wont to differ. 93 And if you, O listener, have any doubt in what We have sent down towards you, then question those who have read the Book before you; undoubtedly, towards you has come the truth from your Lord, therefore do not be of those who doubt. 94 nor be of those who cry lies to God's signs so as to be of the losers. 95 Verily those against whom the word of your Lord is pronounced will never believe, 96 Even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment. 97 If only there had been a community (of all those that were destroyed of old) that believed and profited by its belief as did the folk of Jonah! When they believed We drew off from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the world and gave them comfort for a while. 98 If your Lord had willed, all the people on the earth would have come to believe, one and all. 99 It is not for any soul to believe save by the leave of God; and He lays abomination upon those who have no understanding. 100 Proclaim, “Observe what is in the heavens and the earth”; and the signs and the Noble Messengers do not benefit the people who are not destined to believe. 101 Wait they then aught but the days of those who have passed away before them. Say thou: wait then, verily I am with you among those who wait. 102 Then We will save our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers 103
