Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 It contains glad news and warnings (for the people), but most of them have ignored it and do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
