When the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said: nay! we have come to thee with that whereof they have been dubitating. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 “Therefore journey with your household while a portion of the night remains, and you tread behind them – and none of you may turn around and see, and proceed directly to the place you are commanded to.” 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 And fear Allah, and humiliate me not. 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Verily there is a Sign in this for the believers. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
