And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 even as We had sent warning to those who had divided their religion into fragments; 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
