And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, save in truth. Surely the Hour is coming; so pardon thou, with a gracious pardoning. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
