[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
