He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
