The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who give charity, 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
