۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 On the Day when they behold the angels, there will be no glad tidings for the sinners. They will say: 'A refuge which is forbidden' 22 And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. 23 The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. 24 On that Day, the heaven is split asunder with clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. 26 And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. 27 Would that I had never chosen so and so for my companion! 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." 30 And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid. 31 And the disbelievers say, “Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” This is how We sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and We read it slowly, in stages. 32 and [that] they [who deny the truth] might never taunt thee with any deceptive half-truth without Our conveying to thee the [full] truth and [providing thee] with the best explanation. 33 They who shall be gathered prone on their faces unto Hell - those shall be worst in respect of place and the most astray in respect of path. 34
