The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9
