And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 He said: What! even if I bring to you something manifest? 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
