When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
