۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 and they have enraged us, 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
