The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
