The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
