The Ant (Al-Naml)

۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. 6 Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warm yourselves. 7 When he came up to it, a voice called out, "Blessed be whoever is near this fire, and whoever is around it! Glory be to God, Lord of the Universe! 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. 12 But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, 13 And they denied them – whereas in their hearts they were certain of them – due to injustice and pride; therefore see what sort of fate befell the mischievous! 14
