3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
