Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
