The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
