The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 and the drivers driving, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment which ye were wont to belie. 21
