And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
