3/4 Hizb 45

And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
