Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 and we glorify God". 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
