Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
