It is God who provides livestock for you, some for riding and some for your food: 79 And in them are numerous benefits for you, and for you to reach your hearts’ desires while riding them – and you ride upon them and upon the ships. 80 And He shows you His signs; so which sign of Allah will you deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the earth so that they may behold what wise hath been the end of those before them. They were more numerous than these, and mightier in strength and the traces in the land. But naught availed them of that which they had been earning. 82 And when their messengers brought them clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) they exulted in the knowledge they (themselves) possessed. And that which they were wont to mock befell them. 83 And when they saw Our Might, they said: 'We believe in Allah alone, and we disbelieve in that we used to associate with Him' 84 but believing after seeing Our punishment did not benefit them at all: this is the law of God to deal with His creatures, and thus the disbelievers were the losers. 85
