The Amramites (Al-Imraan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
AlifLaamMeem. 1 Allah, (there is) no god but He, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all things subsist 2 He has revealed to you the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Tavrat and the Injeel aforetime, a guidance for the people, and He sent the Furqan. 3 before, as a guidance for people, and He sent down the Criterion. As for those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah, for them is an intense punishment. Allah is Mighty, Owner of Vengeance. 4 Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from Allah. 5 It is God who shapes you in the wombs as He wills. He is the only Lord, the Majestic, and All-wise. 6 He it is who hath sent down unto thee the Book, wherein some verses are firmly constructed - they are the mother of the Book, and others consimilar. But those in whose hearts is a deviation follow that which is consimilar therein, seeking discord and seeking to misinterpret the same; whereas none knoweth the interpretation thereof save Allah. And the firmly-grounded in knowledge say: we believe therein, the whole is from our Lord. And none receiveth admonition save men of understanding. 7 (They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower." 8 Our Lord! Verily, it is You Who will gather mankind together on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah never breaks His Promise". 9
