And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? 40 Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them, 41 Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them. 42 So hold fast to what has been revealed to you. You are truly on the right path. 43 It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
