۞ And when the son of Maryam is held up, an example, behold! thy people thereat cry out. 57 And they say: are our gods better, or is he? They mention him not to thee save for disputation. Aye! they are a people contentious. 58 He is purely a bondman (of Ours), whom We have favoured upon, and We made him an extraordinary example for the Descendants of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path." 64 But the parties among them fell into variance; so woe unto those who did evil, because of the chastisement of a painful day. 65 Do they wait for aught but the hour, that it should come! upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive? 66 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous 67
